Matagal-tagal na ring hindi pinagtatambal ng mga execs ng Kapamilya Network sina Kim Chiu at Gerald Anderson. Till My Heartaches End pa ang huli nilang pelikula together - na nag-flop dahil sa intrigang hiwalayan nila noon.
Pero ngayon tila naka-move on na ang dalawa. Si Gerald mukhang nakahanap na rin ng mga bagay na leading ladies tulad nina Sarah Geronimo at Jessy Mendiola, ang 'special friend' niya sa teleseryeng Budoy.

On the other hand, mukhang naka-move on na rin si Kim, at in fairness mas gumanda ang career niya simula nang mawala siya sa pagkakatali ng Kimerald tandem. At mas inabangan siya ng mga manonood lalo na nang maipalabas ang teleserye niyang My Binondo Girl. Speaking of My Binondo Girl, wala pa palang definite na ka-partner si Kim - pinagpipilian pa kung sino kina Onyx (Jolo Revilla), Trevor (Matteo Guidicelli) at Andy (Xian Lim) ang magwawagi sa puso ni Jade na karakter ni Kim sa nasabing serye. Ewan ko kung totoo pero nakasagap ako ng impormasyon from one of the staff, balak daw idaan ng ABS-CBN sa text votes kung sino sa tatlong leading men ang gusto ng mga viewers na makatuluyan ni Jade. Pero malay natin ganoon ang mangyari, maganda rin kasing publicity ito para mas tumaas pa ang rating ng My Binondo Girl.

Since napag-usapan na ang My Binondo Girl, pag-usapan natin ang tatlong leading men ni Jade (Kim) sa serye. Una si Onyx (karakter na ginagampanan ni Jolo Revilla) na kababata ni Jade at matagal nang may gusto sa dalaga. Jolo's character shows much possessiveness in the series. Sa totoo lang medyo walang dating ang pagpi-flirt ni Jolo kay Kim sa palabas. Besides, Jolo's character does not suit well for Jade's heart. Ewan ko sa opinyon ng iba pero hindi bagay sina Kim at Jolo as love team. Una, malaki ang tanda ni Jolo kay Kim. Second, wala talagang spark. But it depends on the writers ng serye since unang dumating sa buhay ni Jade si Onyx.
There comes Trevor, as characterized by Matteo Guidicelli. Okay sana ang tandem pero I doubt na tatagal ito or tatangkilikin ng masa. First alam natin na si Matteo ay "taken" na ni Maja Salvador (kaya siguro pinasok sa serye ang character ni Maja para maging love interest ni Trevor!). Second, kung si Jolo mukhang matanda para kay Kim, si Matteo naman mukhang bata kaysa kay Kim. I'm not buying it actually.
Another Jade's love interest is Andy Wu, played by Xian Lim. Actually, simula noong nanood ako ng My Binondo Girl, alam kong mas matimbang si Xian Lim kaysa kina Jolo Revilla at Matteo Guidicelli. First, napansin kong bagay sina Kim at Xian in physical aspects - from Xian's height, looks, and of course his Chinese ancestry. At saka nung napanood ko ang latest episodes na nagkakamabutihan na sina Andy at Yuan (Jade's alter ego), nakaramdam ako ng kilig. At saka napansin ko rin na tila komportable sila sa isa't isa. Yung mga scenes nilang dalawa parang gamay na nila. You call it chemistry. Bagay sila sa isa't isa.
If ever I'm one of the executives of ABS-CBN, ipagpapatuloy ko ang pagtatambalan nila Kim Chiu at Xian Lim. I'm 100% sure papatok ito sa masa. Goodbye na Kimerald, hello KiAn (KIm-xiAN) tandem!

In fairness, Xian joined showbiz around 3 years ago and worked his way up from doing modelling stints to acting in small bit roles, like Maynila(GMA7) and Your Song. He was earlier paired with Erich Gonzales, unfortunately the Erich-Enchong tandem clicked, and so Xian was thrown out of the equation. Xian knew Kim years ago, he was even very good friends w/ Gerald Anderson and Kim. He was around already to witness how Kim was crushed from her break-up w/ Gerald, and how Kim has turned the tables and became one of the most promising young stars in Phil. cinema. Of course, everyone expects the princess to have a prince, and who else better to step up but Xian! This budding romance between the two is yet to prove itself, it is undeniably seen that the two like each other based on the way they look and smile on & off-cam. Go TeamJandy!

Undeniable ang chemistry ni Kim and Xian...the ABS head honchos should strike while the iron is hot...this new teamup will be another gold mine for ABS...they are also capable of meatier roles like the Mr. & Mrs. Smith...not the usual teeny bopper roles. Go Kim, Xian! Break the bank!
I used to be a kimerald fans bBut is gone in the wind. I just have to accept it that there is no more Kim and Gerald. When I start watching MBG I saw a good chemistry between Kim and Xian and I said to my self that this two has a lot in common, and I was thinking that thanks God my lil girl Kimmy finally found love. To all Kims fan pls give Xian a chance he is not using Kim for popularity, remember he is very talented actor, he is not only a model he can sing too and play a lot of instrument. Cant blame loyal fans of Kim here, they are so protective of her. Kim had been used before, abused emotionally and cheated by the other half of Kimerald. But I think she deserves another man in her life.. one who will really love, cherish and respect her as a person. Like what Xian Lim said, "she deserves everything". The success of My Binondo Girl proves that she is a great young actress and she could stand alone and be more famous without the loveteam. The chemistry between Kim and Xian is amazing. I dont know who he was before until I watched him in My Binondo Girl. He is good, talented and lucky to have this chance to be paired with Kim Chiu. Instant sikat na siya. Anyway, I am for Jade and Andy. If they have more projects to come? Thats good but I want Kim Chiu to be paired with other actors.
hindi ko idol si kim or kahit si xian nagustuhan ko nalang sila sa #my binondo girl nung ipalabas kaya gustuhan ko sila hanggang dun lang. pero sana naman matured role na ung ibigay sa kanila kasi hindi na sila bata tingnan. at kung gagawa man sila ng movie ung kakaiba kasi parang halos lahat ng movie natin pare-pareho ang story ung dapat mahigitan nila ung "no other woman" kahit wag na yung kay vice ganda na movie kasi hindi nila kaya yun na comedy.hehehe

Actually, si Xian Lim lang ang gusto ko from the start. I watch Binondo Girl just because of him. Of course, I prefer that he be launched as a solo actor, musician and singer. He's a much more interesting and dynamic talent. And looking at his interviews, he seems a perky and colorful person too.
I know sooo many people (of all classes, mind you) hooked on MBG. Kim was very effective on her role. Xian too was perectly cast. I think it's unfair for people to put Xian down with such rude accusations. Give him a break! It's not his fault that people feel his role! They just "fit" on all aspect onscreen.. And this happened without any media frenzy from their network. People clamored for them. That's rare these days. If ABS doesn't see this, it's their loss. Whether for real or reel, it's certain that Kim and Xian bloomed with each other's company.
Mostly ang ayaw kay Xian ay mga KIMON fans. Yun ang napapansin ko sa twitter. Sinasabing user at bading sya. Hndi ko tuloy maiwasang mag-isip na insecure sila. Nakikita naman natin na Xian is really doing his best para mabigyan ng justice yung role nya. What if sasabihin naman ng iba na yung manok nila ang user at bading. Hndi kaya sila masasaktan? I'm a Kim fan. I pitty her for having fans like them. Imbes na i-lift-up nila si Kim, mas lalong hinihila nila pababa dahil sa mga ginagawa nila.
Xian and Kim looks good together. Bumalik na ang dating kim. Thanks to her family, friends, her real fans who supports her whoever her partner and of course Xian. Sana matauhan ang mga bitter at epal na fans ni KIm. She deserves to love and be happy. Sana kayang ibigay yun ng ibang fans nya by supporting her all the way.
